Self-Help Groups
Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have proven to be powerful instruments of empowerment. HOM is embarking on an ambitious plan to expand our SHG network. Currently comprising 92 SHGs with 1550 members, we aim to increase this number to 150 SHGs with 2250 members within the next year. This expansion will create more opportunities for women to come together, build financial independence, and collectively address their unique challenges.
Expanding our SHG network is crucial to provide more women with the tools they need to achieve financial independence and leadership skills. By increasing the number of SHGs, we are opening doors for more women to access resources, training, and support.

In an effort to address the pressing needs of marginalized families without access to proper housing and electricity, a transformative initiative was undertaken by HOM on 02-09-2023. Seven families, residing on government land due to the absence of alternative shelter, found hope and illumination through the distribution of solar power solutions.

With the generous financial support of Forderverin Indienhilfe, HOM embarked on a mission to uplift the lives of 25 underprivileged families through Livelihood Support in Kanyakumari Zone. The program aimed to provide these families with a sustainable source of income through the purchase of goats, a step towards economic self-reliance.
